The Office of Academic Technology welcomes you to browse through this website. OAT is under the Center for Teaching and Learning with Technology (formerly the Office of Educational Technology).  The OAT administers and supports the Blackboard course management system, and any other software products of special use to the teaching and learning. OAT is also in charge of procuring and maintaining overhead data projectors and other technology enhancements to classrooms. The responsibility of the faculty laptop program is shared by the Center for Teaching and Learning with Technology and the Office of Information Resources and Technology. This function will continue under the direction of the Office of Academic Technologies.  OAT will be responsible for scheduling classes, meetings, and special video conferencing events in the ITV rooms, and will provide technical support for such meetings as necessary. This office will be developing its expertise in helping faculty incorporate multimedia into their courses. This will be a collaborative effort with the Teaching and Learning Center, who will help faculty choose appropriate media and make the best use of it for achieving desired learning outcomes.
